Job Description

Are you a master of the art of Ponmo making, carrying the secrets of this traditional delicacy in your skilled hands? We are seeking a Traditional Authentic Chef to join our team and contribute to the legacy of this beloved Nigerian cuisine.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and process cowhide to create authentic Ijebu Ponmo using traditional methods.

Expertly season and flavor ponmo according to traditional recipes.

Ensure product quality and consistency through precise craftsmanship.

Plans and co-ordinates kitchen work while maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the production area.

Collaborate with the team to meet production targets and uphold the quality of our ponmo.

Requisitions or purchases and examines foodstuffs needed for production.

Supervises, organises and instructs kitchen staff and manages the whole kitchen.

Requirements:

 

In-depth knowledge of traditional Ijebu Ponmo cooking techniques.

Proven experience in crafting high-quality Ijebu Ponmo.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining authenticity.

Ability to work within a team and uphold hygiene standards.

Passion for preserving and promoting the heritage of Nigerian cuisine.

Restuarant Manager (Nigerian Cuisine)

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to join our team at DAFLAVOURZ LTD. As a Restaurant Manager, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of a dining establishment, managing the staff and operations, providing excellent customer service, ensuring staff are safe and that all food safety procedures are followed according to regulations. Having a keen attention to detail and being able to prioritise tasks are some of the key qualities required for a Restaurant Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Plans catering services and directs staff
  • Decides on range and quality of meals and beverages to be provided
  • Discusses customer’s requirements for special occasions
  • Purchases or directs the purchasing of supplies and arranges for preparation of accounts
  • Verifies that quality of food, beverages and waiting service is as required, that kitchen and dining areas are kept clean and appropriate hygiene standards are maintained in compliance with statutory requirements
  • Plans and arranges food preparation in collaboration with other staff and organises the provision of waiting or counter staff
  • Checks that supplies are properly used and accounted for to prevent wastage and loss and to keep within budget limit
  • Determines staffing, financial, material and other short- and long-term requirements.

 

The Ideal Candidate must have:

  • Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager 3+ years, with a specialization in Nigerian cuisines.
  • Mastery in preparing Ponmo-based dishes and expert skills in grilling meats, particularly beef, showcasing a profound understanding of Nigerian culinary traditions.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and a genuine passion for delivering memorable dining experiences.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities to optimize restaurant operations and drive business success
  • Knowledge of local health and safety regulations.
